Have you heard the hoopla about castor oil?  Well, if not lemme tell you!

Castor oil has been around for thousands of years and it’s made by extracting oil from the seeds of the Ricinus communis plant.

Here are some ways in which castor oil is believed to help with periods:

Reducing Menstrual Cramps

Castor oil packs applied to the lower abdomen may relieve menstrual cramps. The heat and massaging effect of the pack  brings blood flow to the area to help relax the muscles, potentially reducing the intensity of cramps.

Balancing Menstrual Irregularities

Castor oil is thought to promote blood circulation and detoxification, which could help regulate menstrual cycles in cases of irregular periods.

Supporting Liver Detoxification

since our liver is vital in hormone metabolism and detox, applying a castor oil pack to the liver can help with liver detox and healthy hormone balance.

Make sure to check with your doctor first, because there are potential risks and side effects associated with the use of castor oil, such as skin irritation or allergic reactions, so it should be used with caution.
