Got flax?  The hormone superfood.

What in the heck are flax seeds? Flaxseeds have been around for years and are considered an original superfood (still trying to find this list of original superfoods).

Here are some reasons why you should put a bag in your grocery cart!

  • An AMAZING source of Omega-3s. Are you vegan and won’t take a fish oil? This is how I get my vegans to get their Omega-3s!
  • High in fiber. We need fiber for proper digestion.
  • This healthy fat promotes healthy skin, hair and nails.
  • Can reduce cholesterol
  • It’s GLUTEN free!
  • High in antioxidants
  • Lignan content can help balance hormones

Try adding a tablespoon to your smoothie, salad, yogurt, cottage cheese, pancakes–honestly anywhere!  My favorite brand is Bob’s Red Mill.
