Dr. E’s Team Has Grown!

I never thought in a million years that I would be trying to grow this practice during a pandemic when I first took the leap to venture out on my own in January.  What I also didn't expect was for my business to grow so quickly that I needed help (but I'm NOT complaining about that--it's a good problem to have!).

I am SO excited to announce that I have brought on Alaa, a 3rd year medical student at SCNM (Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine) to be my right hand gal, help with administrative work all while she is learning how to run a business and patient care.  It honestly couldn't have been a better fit!

Here is a little bit about Alaa:

"My name is Alaa Gerais and I am from New York City but I have been living in Arizona for 6 years now. Although I miss the big city, I’ve gotten used to the warmth and loving the clear skies and mountains of AZ. I am a yoga teacher and have been practicing for 5 years. I started taking yoga classes to help my anxiety after suffering multiple anxiety attacks for 3 years. Feeling completely depleted I wanted to learn how to calm my anxiety and relax my anxious state. Practicing yoga everyday taught me the benefit of discipline but most important gave me tools to self-sooth and calm my mind. Practicing yoga has taught me to be present in the moment and to appreciate the magic that comes with the connection of body and mind. The awareness eventually led to a change in how i viewed my life and helped me detoxify from the way I was living and eating. I became encouraged to support my body and mind through proper nutrition, meditation and movement. This eventually lead to my investigation of natural medicine and I found myself applying for Naturopathic Medical school at SCNM. Throughout my years as a student my love and learning for the healing power of the body has flourished. As I continue my education I am constantly learning the true power of natural medicine and the use of nutrition, herbs, homeopathy and even meditation and yoga in the treatment of chronic diseases, immune dysfunction and pain. As I continue my time at SCNM I wish to contribute to the community of natural medicine and to live in the Ethos of this profession. Docere, Doctor as teacher."

Let's give her a big welcome!!
